Background

The Royal Academy of Gastronomy (RAG) is an institution that carries out its academic and cultural activity through various actions aimed at recovering,  preserving and disseminating the historical and cultural heritage of gastronomy, as well as through research projects, conferences, meetings, exhibitions, etc.
Although the Academy operates as a private institution, it carries out functions traditionally reserved for public institutions and aims to achieve specific objectives for its sector.
One of the main objectives of the RAG is to ensure that Spanish gastronomy becomes a consolidated tourist destination within the global gastronomic offer.

GASTRONOMY AND TOURISM EVENT

The RAG, with the support of the Regional Ministry of Tourism of the Community of Madrid and Madrid Destino, is organising the first edition of this event in collaboration with Turespaña, in order to learn first-hand from tourism professionals from different countries about the positioning of Spanish gastronomy and possible ways to disseminate and improve this positioning among high-end travellers.
